Making It In The Music Business: The Insider Secrets
Published in Paperback by Diamond Edge Publishing (March, 2002)
Authors: Carl Campbell, Robert Waters, and Donald Allen

Making It In The Music Business:The Insider Secrets
I have been in the music business for over 10 years. I've
read several books on the music business. When I heard about this new book called Making It In The Music Business:The Insider Secrets, I felt that I had to read this book. The first thing that I notice was that this book was written by musicians, not an attorney, like most of the other music books that are out there. The book broke down how hit songs are written, how often an artist is paid, what percentage the artist/writer's are paid, a business plan, and much, much more!!! This book is a must read by all musicians, artist, and performers. -Christina Mcnair

A chronicle of Science
I almost never read books about man and nature in the renaisance, and this was one of the best ones I have read, if not one of the very best. Read up!

Management: Meeting and Exceeding Customer Expectations with Student CD-ROM and InfoTrac College Edition
Published in Hardcover by South-Western College Pub (July, 2001)
Authors: Warren R. Plunkett, Raymond F. Attner, and Gemmy S. Allen
Average review score:

detailed and useful
This book was a requirement for a class. It was easy to understand and apply. It comes with key terms in the margins for easy review and description. The chapters begin with a learning objective and concludes with a summary of each objective. Each chapter is filled with detailed information and highlights corporations and how they have applied each concept. I would recommend it for anyone constructing an organization or for those wishing to change management styles. It also, has a CD Rom that is incredible.

Managing Enterprise Active Directory Services
Published in Paperback by Addison Wesley (25 April, 2002)
Authors: Robbie Allen and Richard Puckett
Average review score:

Top Notch
This book does a great job of explaining in-depth some advanced issues of AD. I only recommend this book for experienced admins since it only glosses over introductory topics. Look at this more as a book for advanced architectural issues like DNS and AD Scripting (VB, etc.) though I would say scripting newbies could benefit.

Also, this book is not MCSE 2000 prep material. I would not recommend this book until you already have a firm grasp of most AD concept and you want to go further.

Finally, the authors credentials speak for themselves. I highly recommend this book.

Managing World Economic Change: International Political Economy
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall (13 January, 1995)
Author: Robert Allen Isaak
Average review score:

Good PACE
As most of you MBA students will need to purchase this book because it's required, you probably have reservations about keeping it. After taking Isaak's class I can tell you that this was one of the most fascinating perspectives on the post cold war environment since reading "The Lexus and The Olive Tree". I'd suggest you actually read this one.

A Manual of European Languages for Librarians
Published in Hardcover by K G Saur (May, 1999)
Authors: C. G. Allen and KG Saur
Average review score:

Around Europe in one volume
As a librarian, I have always found the online dictionaries for various languages unsatisfactory. The key words a cataloguer is searching for are either not covered at all or else have a different meaning in another context. And how many libraries have a run of foreign language dictionaries to cover everything from Hungarian to Welsh.
Faced with a large multi-lingual project, we were happy to discover this volume. Bibliographic terms are covered neatly under each language; words for volume, edition and so on are all there. There is also a glossary of common terms and sections on ordinal and cardinal numbers for each language. There is abit of grammatical information, which was perhaps not so relevant to our purposes. The only problem I would mention is that the languages are arranged linguistically not alphabetically. We overcame this by bookmarking the sections we found we were using most.
Heartily recommended.

Margie.
Published in Library Binding by E P Dutton (January, 1969)
Author: Elizabeth, Allen
Average review score:

This is the best book!
I have watched the movie based on this book several times and loved it! Recently i found the book at the library and read it. It was a million times better than the book even. This book is about a girl growing up during the deprssion who is just your average high school girl. i think that it was one of the first teen comedies. anyways, she falls for a couple of guys and a bunch of embaressing things happen, and it ends with Margie having her pick of the guys. I would definately recomend this book to anyone.
